BIMM Birmingham is part of the BIMM Group – Europe’s largest and leading contemporary music college.
BIMM Brighton was the first BIMM college to open (2001), followed by colleges in Bristol (2008), London (2010), Dublin (2011), Manchester (2013), Berlin (2015) and Birmingham (2017).
The seven BIMM institutes collaborate in perfect harmony, but at the same time, each individual music college has its own unique, independent regional identity which we continue to nurture.
Birmingham’s musical heritage is second to none. From the folk, jazz, blues and soul of the 1950s, right through to garage, indie and techno in the 21st century – plus with everything from Brumbeat and psychedelia to ska, reggae and punk in between – the city has done more for the invention of musical genres than possibly any other in the history of Western music.
Our BIMM Birmingham tutors are all very active in the local Birmingham music scene and beyond, and between them have been nominated for Ivor Novello awards, contributed to movie soundtracks, coached some of the world’s greats in their craft, and toured the world with major bands. Put simply, they’re really well connected and eager to pass their knowledge, experience and guidance onto you.
So, what are you waiting for? To make it in the music industry, connect with BIMM Birmingham today.
