Dave Doughman's 28 years of experience in the music industry have found him in studios, on stages, or behind soundboards around the world. Getting his start recording in the mid 90s working with fellow Daytonians Guided By Voices and Brainiac, he accidentally started his own band Swearing At Motorists as a byproduct of practicing his recording techniques after hours at the studio he was working in. The band have released several albums via Secretly Canadian and A Recordings.
Over the years he has toured as sound engineer for Unwound, Guided By Voices, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Blonde Redhead, Crystal Castles, and Rocket From The Crypt.
Dave relocated from Philadelphia to Berlin in 2005, and has been living in Hamburg since 2010.
Since 2016 he can be found daily in FC St Pauli's Millerntor Stadion, where he runs the Levi's Music Project, providing free music lessons and rehearsal time to underserviced youth.
