Steffi Niederzoll

Steffi Niederzoll is an award-winning German filmmaker, artist, and author.
After studying film direction at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and at the EICTV in Cuba, she gained significant success with her documentary Seven Winters in Tehran (2023). The film premiered at the Berlinale, was shown at national and international festivals around the world, and received multiple awards, including the German Film Award.
In addition to her work as a director and author, she co-wrote the book Wie man ein Schmetterling wird with Shole Pakravan. Since 2007, she has been a lecturer at prestigious institutions.
