As part of BIMM’S artist development team, Briggy coaches students to represent themselves effectively to the music industry and wider creative industries. She helps with press kits, bios and artistic direction as well as branding and release strategies. Utilising her vast broadcast media experience, Briggy also provides valuable media/interview training to music journalists and artists.
Briggy is Executive Producer and Editor of The Loft Sessions – a BIMM Brighton student-led, creative arts-based YouTube and TV show, which started in 2017. The Loft Sessions Crew learn skills in videography, digital editing, project managing, social media, live sound, post-production, artist liaison, reporting and presenting. The show has attracted an array of big names, including local hero DJ Fatboy Slim, who share the platform with artists, producers, influencers and up and coming musicians.
Briggy also co-ordinates music video collaborations between BIMM Brighton and Brighton Film School students.
As BBC Radio 1’s Entertainment News presenter, Briggy has interviewed some of the biggest names in music. She’s reported from some of the most prestigious entertainment events and festivals in the world, including Glastonbury, The Oscars, The Brits and The MTV Awards, and she hosted MTV’s “Access All Areas” and VH1’s “Album Chart Show”.
Briggy was also Programme Manager at Brighton’s Juice Radio and hosted “The Sunday Surgery” on Radio 1. She has been awarded a Visiting Fellowship at Southampton Solent University for her services to media.
