Andy Frizell

Head of Bass

Andy has made music with artists of all descriptions in a career spanning 35 years. He has played live or in the studio with musicians including the Super Furry Animals, Vivian Stanshall, The Coral, China Crisis, Shack, Herbie Flowers, Sandi Thom, Bill Ryder-Jones, Annie Whitehead, Kevin Ayers and Jimmy Carl Black. He is also a member of the legendary band, Wizards of Twiddly.

As a member of the Muffin Men, he played the music of Frank Zappa all over the world, bringing him into musical contact with many ex-Zappa players, such as Ike Willis, Don Preston and Mike Keneally. He has produced music by Emily & the Faves, Dead Belgian and, most recently, Michael Livesley’s stage version of Viv Stanshall’s ‘Sir Henry At Rawlinson End’ featuring Rick Wakeman and Neil Innes.
