Nick started drumming at the age of 11, learning his craft via lessons with Liverpool legend Red Carter and playing around the Liverpool circuit with various bands. He formed his own band, The Black Velvets, who signed to Universal Records, releasing their eponymous debut album in 2005 and touring the world supporting bands such as The Killers, The Who, Kings of Leon, Kasabian and James to name a few.
Across his career, Nick has played with a range of successful artists, including Miles Kane, Glasvegas, Richard Hawley, The Violent Femmes and Poltergeist (Will Sergeant & Les Pattinson), and from 2007 to 2017, he was the drummer for Liverpool band, Echo and the Bunnymen. Since joining them he has toured the world, enjoyed major festival appearances including Glastonbury, V Festival, Benicassim, Reading/Leeds, T in the Park, Isle of Wight and festival’s abroad such as Coachella, All Points East and Fuji Rock. Nick has also appeared on television shows such as Later… With Jools Holland, the Late Show With David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
