Richard Jupp is the co-founder, songwriter and drummer in the award winning band Elbow, with whom he performed and recorded for over 25 years. In that time he toured the world playing at all of the major music venues, festivals, arenas and stadiums. The band has been nominated for/won several major music awards including a BRIT, NME, Ivor Novello and Mercury Music Prize.
Elbow have featured on several Film Soundtracks and have collaborated with The BBC concert orchestra and The Halle Orchestra. Rick has done lots of session work, working alongside music producers and sound engineers with new and exciting emerging talent and also established International artists.
Rick has a special interest in drumming as (music) therapy, he is patron of The National Autistic Society and offers one to one drum lessons at home in his specially designed drum shed. Rick has taught drum Masterclasses at The UK Drum Show (2017), Salford University and others.
