UCAS Extra is now Open.
UCAS Extra is now open and is an opportunity for you to apply for another course. If you’ve used all five of your UCAS choices and don’t hold any offers, you can now add one choice at a time. If you’re unsuccessful, or you decline a UCAS Extra offer you receive, then you can add another choice, until 5 July 2020. Find out more about UCAS Extra Here, or chat to our Admissions Team.
Completing a UCAS application is the next step in joining us at Europe’s largest and most connected music institute. Here’s everything you need to know about your UCAS application for 2020 enrolment. Alternatively, you can read our guide over on our blog.
HOW DOES THE UCAS APPLICATION WORK?
When you apply to UCAS, you’ll be asked to submit up to five options for the courses that you’d like to study at the institutes you’d like to join. You’ll find all our BIMM Institute courses listed on the UCAS website along with our course and campus codes. To make an application through UCAS, you’ll need to go to ucas.com and register before you can submit any choices.
WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR UCAS APPLICATION:
Your application will need to include the following:
- A list of all your academic achievements, including any pending qualifications
- A Personal Statement (under a maximum of 4,000 characters)
- A reference from either a teacher, tutor or employer
For further information about UCAS submissions, please see BIMM Institute’s handy applicant guides:
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I’VE APPLIED?
Once your UCAS application has been received, we’ll invite you in for an audition/interview. If you aren’t able to attend in person then there are other options available such as a Skype interview or a demo submission. If you clearly meet the entry criteria for the course you’ve selected, we’ll offer you a place.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
If your audition is successful, you’ll either be provided with a ‘conditional offer’ (pending until we receive your exam results and certificates) or an ‘unconditional offer’ (meaning you’ve met the entry criteria for the course and don’t need to supply any additional information).
Offers will be announced via UCAS’s ‘Track’ facility.
