MA Popular Music Practice

Andrea Koevska is a recording musician, songwriter, and BIMM University Berlin alumna who holds a MA in Popular Music Practice (Composition). She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Solo Singing in Popular Genres from the Faculty of Music at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Andrea’s international competitive success began early in her career when she won first place at the Arpeggio International Singing Competition in Malta in 2017.

She achieved widespread recognition when she represented North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with “Circles”. Beyond Eurovision, Andrea has established a strong presence on the music festival circuit, delivering live performances of original tracks at prominent festivals such as Kënga Magjike in Albania, MAKFEST, and winning the prestigious award for Best Arrangement at Ohrid Fest in her home country. With a diverse solo discography that includes singles like “I Know,” “Comeback,” and “Eyes on Me,” Andrea successfully pairs her extensive background as a live performer with the advanced compositional training she received at BIMM. Currently, she is collaborating with fellow BIMM alumni on new music, aiming to expand her reach and achieve even greater international recognition.
