BIMM University Berlin facilities

Become the creative professional you were always meant to be – develop your skills and knowledge in BIMM University facilities, which feature state-of-the-art equipment, networking opportunities and more at House of Music and Molecule Studios.

Based in Friedrichshain and Alt-Treptow, our facilities give you access to the tools, equipment and software you need to graduate ready to enter the music, film or acting industries. These two creative hubs offer students two unique locations to explore, experiment and collaborate with students across our course offering.

House of Music

We have been proud residents inside Berlin’s creative hub for musicians, companies and organisations in the music industry since 2019.

Located in the R.A.W. area at the intersection of Berlin’s two most creative districts, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, the former wheelset turnery brings industrial history and creative innovation together under one roof.

Each and every day, students have the chance to rub shoulders with industry professionals from companies like iZotope, Patreon, Music Pool Berlin, noisy, and Yamaha, who also call House of Music home.

There is truly no place more inspiring for anyone who wants to build a career in the music industry.

Our state-of-the-art, industry-standard production studio with an acoustically designed live room allows you to experience real-world, high-tech equipment and professional surroundings throughout your studies.

“Studying at BIMM University Berlin has frequently allowed me to be in the studio and explore creative ways to use studio equipment that would otherwise be hard to come by. Not only do I get to experiment with the equipment, but I also take part in all sorts of productions of various genres. This has led me to try production techniques that I wouldn’t necessarily find out about on my own."
Rasmus Schmidt, Music Production student

House of Music Café (Späti)

This open space – located in House of Music’s lobby – is perfect for grabbing a snack between classes or socialising at the end of the day. Live events are also held here. This is the best area for networking with other students and the many industry guests who frequent BIMM University Berlin and our partners.

Molecule Studios

Our newest location in Berlin, Molecule Studios offers our students state-of-the-art filmmaking and acting facilities right in the heart of the action.

Based in the Alt-Treptow district, our second home has a fascinating history. Once home to AGFA (a photographic film company), activity related to visual creation dates all the way back to the late 19th century.

Now completely renovated, we are humbled to be continuing this tradition by training the next generation of filmmakers and actors on this site.

Attracted by Alt-Treptow’s history for innovation and progress, some of Berlin’s brightest and most innovative people call the area home, with coworking spaces, recording studios and post-production suites forming a network that builds the area’s creative hub.

Built to put no limits on students’ creativity, our in-house film studio allows you to truly experience what it is like to be on set.

“I’ve got to say, I am super impressed! What an amazing place to study and start your career! I only wish my own film school had been so good!”
Tim Pope, BIMM University Berlin Patron
