Career Opportunities at BIMM Institute
We understand what the industry needs and help you develop the skills to succeed.
Music is part of everyone’s lives in some way and behind every song on the radio or festival headliner, there’s a team of dynamic young professionals; producers, engineers, publishers, promoters and more.
Where do you see yourself?
At BIMM, you will have a dedicated Careers and Industry team to help you to navigate the career choices on offer and take those first steps towards your dream job with a work placement via our Work-Based Learning programme.
You can also book in for a CV one-to-one, a mock interview with a major label, employer-led assessment centres or join us at one of our industry-leading careers events.
Songwriters, artists, producers and bands enjoy personalised artist development, leading to recording, performance, connections with A&R and management contacts, as well as the chance to perform at festivals across the UK and Europe.
Music is big business
Pathwaves is an initiative that was founded in 2019 to support the development of female and non-binary producers and engineers. Jane Arnison, our Music Production Course Leader here at BIMM Institute Berlin, created Pathwaves after recognising that something needed to happen to try and disrupt the status quo.
At BIMM Institute we have worked with Pathwaves and have sponsored two of their programmes. BIMM students have also participated in the Pathwaves programme in 2020.
The BIMM Institute X ATC Management A&R Internships
On this fantastic three-month internship, students will gain invaluable A&R experience while furthering their artist development and research skills. They will will liaise directly with ATC’s core A&R teams and managers, take part in educational sessions, and receive mentorship through management meetings and breakout listening sessions.
Kris Tomkinson, Head of Careers and Industry at BIMM Institute Birmingham, said:
