Mahsa Foroughi
Course Leader: MA Screen & Film Production
Mahsa is a poet, filmmaker, and critic, with a rich background in Visual Culture, Education, and Creative Writing. She holds a PhD that explores the intersections of film and philosophy, challenging conventional ways of seeing and thinking.
For the past seven years, Mahsa has been teaching at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, where she inspired students to think creatively and cross-disciplinarily in their practice. Now based in Berlin, Mahsa is fully immersed in developing her first feature film, while also working on various short video projects. Her passion for storytelling is evident in every aspect of her work, and she continues to contribute to global conversations through her writing for journals and her recent book, Haptic Visuality in Arts.
