Sina Ataeian Dena

Sina Ataeian Dena is an Iranian-German filmmaker, screenwriter, producer and multimedia artist based in Berlin. His work spans narrative film, documentary, animation and video installation, exploring social and political themes through innovative cinematic storytelling.
His debut feature film, Paradise, premiered in competition at the Locarno Film Festival, where it received the Ecumenical Jury Prize and the Swatch First Feature Award. As a producer and dramaturgical advisor, he has also contributed to internationally acclaimed films including Critical Zone, winner of the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival, and Seven Winters in Tehran, which received multiple international awards.
Alongside his filmmaking practice, Sina teaches directing, screenwriting, dramaturgy and creative storytelling at leading film institutions in Berlin. His extensive industry experience and internationally recognised body of work provide students with valuable insight into contemporary filmmaking, creative development and independent film production.
