Essentials: The top film locations for film in Berlin
Berlin is the perfect place for any creative to start their career and become part of a vibrant art and film scene. If you are going to study our BA (Hons) Filmmaking course this year, there are many places you should have on your radar when it comes to film in Berlin. Whether this is one of the many amazing cinemas in Berlin, a film location where a famous film was shot, or a film museum – there are countless places in Berlin where you can discover film.
In our new series ‘Essentials’, our film lecturers at the Screen and Film Faculty present you their favourite film locations from across the city in a video or blogpost format. Whether you’re looking for props or want to find somewhere to showcase your latest film, there a lots of inspiring and helpful cinematic sights to explore.
The first episode features film lecturer and music video director Stephanie von Beauvais who takes us on a tour around Berlin and shows us her favourite film spots!
Stephanie has shot music videos for a broad range of music artists including the Beatsteaks, Materia, Kreator, Cro, Tocotronic, Turbostaat, Gudrun Gut, Tom Schilling and many more and has also shot ads for clients such as Twix, Axe, Maggi, Cabinet, SAT1, Brigitte, DEVK, Aok and many others. She has previously taught at BIMM University Berlin and has now joined the film faculty as a lecturer on the Music Video module.
