The BIMM Group has a special affinity with Hamburg, with the city truly capturing our hearts and our imagination. BIMM artists often play here, many of our tutors have close ties with the local music scene, and for the past four years BIMM Berlin has hosted a showcase and reception at the city’s incredible Reeperbahn Festival. So, as Germany’s second largest city and one which is only an hour and a half from BIMM Berlin, Hamburg was a natural choice of location for our second college in Continental Europe.
Our BIMM Hamburg students attend lessons taught in English in the creative St. Pauli area of Hamburg – a short distance from the city’s famous Reeperbahn. The building’s central location in the city’s musical heartland gives students direct access to the local artistic and music community, and instant connections to help forge a career in music.
BIMM Hamburg provides state-of-the-art professional facilities, with equipment and software delivered by the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers. The learning environment at BIMM Hamburg features bright comfortable classrooms, soundproofed spaces for performance teaching, high-tech production facilities, top-of-the-range Mac suites with Ableton-sponsored equipment, backline-fitted rehearsal studios, and a recording studio which can be booked by students at a discounted rate.
BIMM Institute Hamburg is also an Ableton Certified Training Centre, so Music Production students will study under leading experts in this industry standard audio editing software, and will graduate with the very latest knowledge, skills and techniques.
Music Production classes also take place in nearby Chefrock Studios, with offsite live rehearsal space available through the college’s connection at St. Pauli Stadium, space of St. Pauli Music School by Levi’s.
