English Language Requirements
BIMM Institute requires that your English Language capability is of a level that will enable you to succeed on your chosen course of study.
All applicants are required to demonstrate their ability to understand and express themselves in both written and spoken English. We have therefore English language requirements based on the following minimum standards.
BA (Hons) Music Business: score of 6.5 and 6.0 in each band.

TOEFL (iBT) with a score of 80 overall, including at least 19 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking and 21 in Writing. Book your test and access study resources here: www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/register/centers_dates
Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English
BA (Hons) Music Business: a score of 176 overall, including at least 170 in each band.

Cambridge Advanced Certificate in English
BA (Hons) Music Business: Cambridge Advanced Level C1 with a minimum score of 176 overall, including at least 170 in each band.

Pearson (PTE Academic)
Pearson (PTE Academic) with a score of 50 overall, including at least 42 in all four skills. Create your account and book your test here: pearsonpte.com/book-now. Handbook is provided for your preparation.
If you have studies an alternative external English language qualification, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm if this can be accepted.
We can accept Secondary School qualifications from the following countries, should the applicant have completed a qualification listed at a required level, as per the table below:
|Austria||Award of Reifeprufung /Matura awarded from a Allgemeinbildende Hohere Schule with a minimum grade of 2/ Gut on the English component to meet English Language requirements.|
|Bulgaria||Award of Diploma za Sredno Obrazovanie (after 4 years of study) – grade of 5 in English component to meet English Language requirements.|
|Croatia||Award of Svjedodzba o Maturi after four years of study with a minimum grade of 5 in English component to meet English Language requirements.|
|Denmark||Award of Studentereksamen – English language grade 7 on the STX, HF, HHX or HTX to meet English Language requirements.|
|Estonia||Award of Gumnaasiumi loputunnistus orRiigieksamitunnistuswith – English language requirements are met with a School Exam grade of 4 OR English State Examination at 75% or above to meet English Language requirements.|
|Finland||Award of Ylioppilastutkinto or studentexamen after three years of study – English at a minimum grade of Eximia cum laude approbatur or 6 as a second official language to meet English Language requirements.|
|France||We can accept English at 12 for those who have studied Option Internationale Anglais on the Baccalaureat General.|
|Germany||Award of Abitur – grade of 10 on the English component (LF ).|
|Hungary||Award of Erettsegi Vizsga or Matura – grade 4 or above in English at Advanced Level; OR 5 at Basic level exam.|
|Iceland||Award of Stúdentspróf (Matriculation Certificate) – grade of 9 in the English component.|
|Ireland||Award of ILC with a minimum of C1/C/O4 in English Standard Level.|
|Latvia||Award of Atestats par Visparejo videjo Izglitibu (Certificate of General Secondary Education) – Grade 8 in English Language component.|
|Lithuania||Brandos Atestatas – a grade of 8 in English language to meet English language requirements.|
|Malta||The Matriculation Certificate Examination and grades CC at Advanced Level, to include having consistently studied in the English language and obtained a 1–5 in English language on the Secondary Education Certificate.|
|The Netherlands||Award of VWO after six years of study – 8.0 in English Language.|
|Norway||Award of Vitnemal fra den Videregaende Skoleas – grade of 4 in the English component.|
|Poland||Matura – English Language Extended level at 70%.|
|Sweden||Avgangsbetyg/Slutbetyg fran gymnasieskolan – A grade C/VG will need to be obtained on the English C/7 component OR a C/VG on both English A/5 AND B/6 component.|
|Australia||English Grade C on the Year 10 Certificate/ Junior Secondary Studies Certificate/ English VHA, HA or SA on the Year 10 Certificate/ SACE English Pass/ English Credit,Higher Pass or Pass on the School Certificate (TCE)/ English Pass in Unit 3 or 4 on the VCE/ WACE – Pass in English on the Certificate of Lower Secondary Studies (CLSS).|
|Canada||Grade 11 Secondary School English language grade at C or an equivalent.|
|USA||HSD – C in Grade 12 English.|
