Aina Theede

Freelance lecturer

Aina is a Berlin-based freelance artist working in the games industry, known for her multifaceted style and a strong focus on creating immersive worlds filled with cute critters and creepy crawlers.

After beginning her career as a full-time concept artist at Studio Blankhans, she transitioned into freelancing, collaborating with a wide range of clients across video games, board games, and animation projects. In addition to her client work, Aina is active in the creative community, selling her personal work at artist alley markets and modelling for life drawing sessions, often in full armour, blending character performance with figure study. She also teaches at several art schools, where she is passionate about empowering young artists to embrace their individuality. Her teaching emphasizes creating artwork that not only solves design challenges but also tells meaningful stories and evokes feelings. Her illustrations have been featured in various publications, such as the #hardcover project by Éditions Caudette and she recently wrote and illustrated her own book about mystical Creatures, continuing her mission to make this world a little bit more colourful.
