Dr. Enrique Perez
Head of School: Creative Technology
Dr. Enrique Perez is a game developer, researcher, artist, ghostwriter and consultant with over fifteen years’ experience in games design and gamification.
Over the course of their career, they have worked on a diverse range of international projects, spanning toys and digital games to art installations and amusement park attractions. Alongside several awards to their name, Enrique has presented games at festivals, screened animations at US movie theatres and even published a comic book.
With bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Science, Classical Animation and New Media and Game Design, Enrique achieved their Ph.D. magna cum laude in 2019 with a thesis focused on design theory, design methods and game design applied to indie game development.
As Head of School: Creative Technology at BIMM University Berlin, Enrique's priority is to make students, lecturers and staff happy and successful by ensuring a creative, inclusive, safe and opportunity-rich environment for them to thrive and have a successful career.
