From cutting award-winning documentaries in Los Angeles to touring international stages with indie rock band The Blood Arm, Nathaniel Fregoso’s career thrives at the intersection of storytelling, performance, and creative leadership.
A graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, Fregoso spent over a decade as a post-production specialist and documentary editor in Los Angeles. His feature editing credits include The Light in Her Eyes and Whether You Like It or Not: The Story of Hedwig for Academy Award-nominated director Laura Nix. His extensive portfolio also spans broadcast and commercial work for Bravo’s Top Chef, Sundance Channel promos, behind-the-scenes content for major motion pictures, and concert films for artists such as Weezer, Glen Campbell, and Raphael Saadiq.
Fregoso's creative journey took a global turn when The Blood Arm was named "favorite band" by Franz Ferdinand in NME, leading to a record deal with French label Because Music and years of international touring and recording across North America and Europe.
Currently, Fregoso serves as Course Leader for BA (Hons) Filmmaking at BIMM University / MetFilm School Berlin, where he oversees academic delivery and mentors industry-active faculty. Alongside his leadership responsibilities, he is pursuing an MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Dedicated to bridging the gap between industry practice and pedagogical excellence, Fregoso empowers emerging filmmakers with both technical mastery and critical storytelling skills.
