BIMM Berlin students and graduates launch free music festival
BIMM Berlin students and graduates are proving the power of grassroots creativity with the launch of Twisted Trees Festival – a brand-new, free-of-charge music festival taking place at Cassiopeia (Revaler Strasse 99) on 20 September 2025.
The project is the brainchild of BA (Hons) Music Business grad Jens Bosman and current students Jenna Muuri and Ida Löhn, who are now entering their third year of Music Business. The idea was sparked when a farewell party with their friends turned into an all-day music celebration. Twisted Trees Festival takes that same spirit of spontaneity and community and expands it into a fully-fledged festival.
With the help of a volunteer team, the organisers have curated a line-up of 13 Berlin-based acts, many of whom are part of the BIMM community. Performers include Kings & Pills, Oktobernatt, Luz, Mukisa, Canel, Pedali Pesanti, and The Saga. Most are current or former students of BIMM Berlin’s Performance and Songwriting courses, showcasing the talent and diversity within the campus’s music scene.
As organiser, Jens explains:
“With Twisted Trees we’re aiming to put Berlin-based acts on a local Berlin stage without an entry free, giving everyone the chance to discover new music. Through the network I made in and around BIMM Berlin I was able to create a proper team of eager individuals who devoted their time and attention to making this festival a reality.”
There are no tickets or wristbands required, meaning festival-goers can drop in and out throughout the day – whether that’s to grab lunch at the RAW-Gelände between sets, or to bring colleagues along after work.
Twisted Trees is set to be a day of live music, community, and celebration – a testament to what student passion projects can grow into.
