BIMM Berlin’s Sofia Carli lands Set internship on feature film HIJAMAT
BIMM Berlin is celebrating another student success story, as one of our talented creatives has been selected to join the crew of the upcoming feature film HIJAMAT, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nader Saeivar. The shoot will take place in Berlin from 15 September, running for approximately 25 days.
Working as a set intern, Sofia will be supporting various departments on location, from helping with on-set logistics to assisting crew members and keeping the production running smoothly. The role offers a hands-on opportunity to experience the fast-paced environment of a professional film set, while contributing directly to the film’s production.
Although her background is in acting, this internship marks an exciting step into the production side of filmmaking. During her studies at MetFilm School, she gained experience on student and independent projects, including working as a continuity supervisor, a role that sparked her interest in the detailed, collaborative nature of set work.
The opportunity came about after discovering Berlin-based production company ArtHood Entertainment – known for its focus on international arthouse and auteur cinema – on industry platform Crew United. Following a successful interview with the team at ArtHood, Sofia was offered the set intern position.
“This internship feels like a great chance to expand my skill set and gain valuable behind-the-scenes experience that will complement my creative work going forwards,” Sofia added.
We can’t wait to see her contributions to HIJAMAT and look forward to following the film’s journey from set to screen.
