BIMM University Berlin partners with c/o pop Convention and Music Festival
We are delighted to announce that this year we will be an official partner of c/o pop festival and will be part of c/o pop Convention with an insightful industry roundtable discussion, reception, and with unique opportunities for our BIMM University Berlin and Hamburg students at c/o pop Festival.
c/o pop Festival is a music festival in Cologne, Germany that is bringing national and international acts from a wide range of genres to Cologne’s stages and features established artists as well as newcomers. Parallel to the festival the c/o Pop Convention is taking place, it’s also the first music industry gathering of the year.
We are thrilled to collaborate with c/o pop. We have a shared goal of nurturing and developing the next generation of the music industry. This collaboration will grant our students valuable experiences, networking opportunities, and exposure in this fast paced and exciting industry.”
– Ciaran Bradshaw, College Principal, BIMM University Berlin Hamburg
This year c/o pop Festival is celebrating its 20-year anniversary and we’ll be part of it! On Friday, April 28 we’re hosting a 4pm roundtable discussion in Herbrand’s Club titled ‘Wanted: Curators for the Next Generation of the Music Industry‘ will kick off at 4pm and with experienced industry speakers Colin Eger, Head of TuneCore Germany, Anna Jensch, HR Director of FKP Scorpio, Ciaran Bradshaw, College Principal, BIMM University Berlin Hamburg and moderated by Carly McFadden, Festival Director & Artist Manager. The output of this discussion will be used to steer the content and delivery of BIMM University Berlin’s degree programs, ensuring future graduates are well equipped to meet the needs of the industry.
Delegates from all areas of the music industry are invited to join our open conversation to discuss what skills are hardest to find when recruiting for junior positions and what attributes are most valued by recruiters.
Afterwards we welcome all industry delegates to our 5pm reception in Herbrand’s Biergarten to continue the conversation in an informal way (don’t forget to register here!).
We’re also excited that as an official c/o pop partner this year, we have developed a volunteer program that provides BIMM University Berlin and Hamburg students with opportunities throughout the convention, music people and festival. Students will be working behind the scenes in all areas of the festival and through this gain valuable music industry experience.
We are looking forward to c/o pop and hope to see you there!
