BIMM LIVE 2024: Berlin students play stage at Gretchen

6 January, 2025

To close out 2024 and celebrate the teaching period of semester 1, students from our music courses took to the stage at the iconic Berlin venue, Gretchen, for the 2024’s final edition of BIMM LIVE.

Running once per semester, BIMM LIVE showcases the talents of our students, seeing them perform in the same venues that huge national and international acts have visited on tour.

Acts that have performed at Gretchen include British rock act Miles Kane (solo artist and co-frontman of the Last Shadow Puppets), Mimi Webb (pop singer-songwriter and former BIMM student) and experimental Argentinian hip hop duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, whose recent NPR Tiny Desk Concert went viral.

Over 20 student acts showcase original projects

Playing at Gretchen

Gretchen is an award-winning venue based in the creative district of Kreuzberg in Berlin. Based in a listed 19th-century building that was once home to Queen Victoria’s 1st Queen’s Dragoon Guards, the venue provides a unique environment for performers to play in.

For newcomer acts, playing Gretchen is a true rite of passage and we are proud to give the same opportunity to our students as part of BIMM LIVE.
