BIMM University Berlin’s Andi’s Chamber perform at 2000trees

31 July, 2024

BIMM University has once again partnered with UK music festival 2000trees, and this year’s line up included many students and graduates, with a whole host of them working behind the scenes.

We had over 70 students from our Berlin, UK and Dublin campuses working in various roles and capacities, including artist accreditation, backstage runner, stage crew, site building, artist liaison, lighting and sound engineer, social media, marketing and, of course, performing. By giving our students the opportunity to work in all these different areas, we enable them to gain valuable experience and network with industry professionals and fellow students.

Andi's Chamber

Our students ran two stages, The Word Stage and Forest Sessions Stage. Both stages saw a great many students performing across the weekend, including BIMM University Berlin’s Andi’s Chamber, a solo project of Latvia-born, Berlin-based artist Renāte Svenne. Renate is currently in her third year studying Music Production. Alongside Renāte, her band is made up of fellow BIMM University students Mark Nordhausen (BIMM Music Institute London, Popular Music Performance) and Johanna Richter (BIMM University Berlin, Popular Music Performance).

“This was our first festival ever and, on the behalf of the band, I want to thank everyone for the brilliant experience. Performing at 2000trees not only gave us insight into performing on a festival stage but also brought new listeners. We’ve left with wonderful memories that we will keep forever.”
