BIMM Bristol alumni, George Ezra, made his live TV debut this week on BBC Two’s flagship music show ‘Later… with Jools Holland’, performing his brilliant track ‘Budapest’.
George featured on the show alongside other guests including Kasabian, Brian Eno and Karl Hyde, Natalie Merchant, St Vincent, and Ibibio Sound Machine.
The 20 year old singer-songwriter cites Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie as musical influences, and it’s easy to see why as his bluesy voice conjures images of a bygone era.
2014 will undoubtedly be a huge year for George – his debut studio album ‘Wanted on Voyage’ will be released on 30th June, and he’s set to play a whole host of summer festivals, such as Glastonbury, T in the Park, Latitude, and V Festival as part of his three month tour taking in the UK and Ireland, Belgium, France, Hungary and the Netherlands.
