MetStudios Berlin hosts third instalment of Game Jam

19 November, 2025

Earlier this month, MetStudios Berlin hosted its third Game Jam, bringing together Games Design & Development students, Music Production students, and applicants for a week of creativity, collaboration, and hands-on game-making.

Over two days, participants worked in mixed groups to create original games from scratch, supported by lecturers and high-spec creative tech, including digital drawing tablets and game engine tools. Each student in attendance quickly became part of a team and got a real insight into student life at BIMM University Berlin.

Music Production students contributed bespoke audio and sound design, reinforcing the cross-disciplinary spirit that defines our campus culture. Games students valued the chance to work with creatives from different backgrounds, learning from each other’s strengths and skill sets.

By the last day, both groups presented playable prototypes. Between coding sessions, everyone enjoyed pizzas and hangouts.

The Game Jam proved to be an extraordinary success, uniting students, applicants, and lecturers for a weekend filled with creativity, collaboration, and the spirit of innovation that’s core to the BIMM University Berlin experience.
