BIMM University Berlin approved as Ableton Certified Training Centre
We are delighted to share that BIMM University Berlin is now an Ableton Certified Training Centre – one of just a handful of organisations in Germany’s capital to achieve this status.
BIMM University has had a long and successful history with global music software and equipment manufacturer, Ableton, with all students regularly accessing their industry-standard production and performance programme, Ableton Live, and ground-breaking hardware controller, Ableton Push. The certification was awarded to BIMM University Berlin after a thorough investigation of the college by Ableton and a rigorous selection process. The company, whose global headquarters are in Berlin, found a match between BIMM University Berlin’s facilities and teaching methods and their own ethos in the areas of creativity, composing, recording and live performance.
BIMM University Berlin’s Ableton Certified Trainers
On top of the campus-wide certification, the campus also has two Ableton-certified lecturers who will be delivering classes to students at BIMM University Berlin – drummer and Keller record label founder Sjoerd van der Sanden and double Canadian Juno Award-nominated DJ, Noah Pred.
For our students, this exciting development means that as they apply Ableton to their everyday work, they can rest assured they’re receiving the best training in the world. As Ableton-certified lecturers, Sjoerd and Noah will get all the latest updates and training from the music tech company whenever new programmes or software developments are released. Our students will also become part of the Ableton user community, with instant access to the industry’s latest news, events and offers.
Additional benefits of having Ableton Certified status
The partnership also means that BIMM University Berlin students have access to substantial education discounts on Ableton products, which could pocket them savings of up to 40%.
Robert Witoschek, International Campus Dean at BIMM University Berlin is enthusiastic about the benefits Ableton certification will bring for every student:
“BIMM University’s open approach to music analogy and acoustic instrumentalists means Ableton software and hardware is used by all BIMM musicians – not just our Music Production students. Although we use Ableton products regularly in recording, they’re also used in rehearsals, songwriting collaborations and live performances. Through this partnership, all students at BIMM University Berlin – irrespective of the music course they are studying– will gain a professional working knowledge of the brand.”
