Dr. Enrique Perez joins BIMM University Berlin as Head of Creative Technology
BIMM University Berlin is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Enrique Perez as the new Head of School for Creative Technology.
About Dr. Enrique Perez
Dr. Perez, a distinguished game developer, researcher, artist, ghostwriter, and consultant, brings over fifteen years of experience in game design and gamification to our institution.
Throughout their illustrious career, Dr. Perez has contributed to a wide array of international projects, including toys, digital games, art installations, and amusement park attractions. They have received several awards for their work, which has been showcased at prestigious festivals and US movie theatres.
Dr. Perez holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Science, Classical Animation, and New Media and Game Design. In 2019, they achieved their Ph.D. magna cum laude with a ground-breaking thesis on design theory, design methods, and game design, specifically applied to indie game development.
Our Creative Technology Faculty
Our Creative Technology faculty will see students operate in the space between creativity and technology, allowing them to develop innovative experiences in video games, animation and VFX.
Using industry-standard tools, students will be encouraged to explore and master emerging technologies, including real-time rendering engines such as Unreal Engine, virtual and augmented reality and artificial intelligence.
As Head of School for Creative Technology, Dr. Perez is committed to fostering a creative, inclusive, safe, and opportunity-rich environment at BIMM University Berlin. Their goal is to ensure that students, teachers, and staff are happy and successful, enabling them to thrive and build successful careers.
