New BIMM University Berlin Hamburg course for 2023

Following the popularity of our joint honours course BMus (Hons) Popular Music & Songwriting, we are delighted to announce a new joint honours programme coming to BIMM University Berlin Hamburg from Autumn 2023 – BA (Hons) Songwriting and Music Business. 

About the course

The BA (Hons) Songwriting and Music Business course offers aspiring songwriters the chance to nurture their talents as a songwriter while gaining in-depth knowledge of how the business works.  

The programme will focus on songwriting techniques, styles and genres, working with bands, music publishing and marketing. Through combining their creative practice with their entrepreneurial mindset, graduates will be able to progress into a wide range of careers including: 

• becoming a self-managed artist or songwriter or a composer for film or TV 
• entering into the world of live performance, music publishing and copyright collection 
• completing professional qualifications in areas such as entertainment law or music and business education. 

Upon completion of the course, graduates will receive a bachelor’s degree awarded by BIMM University (UK).
