Over 100 BIMM Berlin students attend Most Wanted: Music 2025
November is always an exciting time in Berlin, as the city hosts one of the most influential music industry festivals: Most Wanted: Music 2025.
This year, more than 100 first-year BA and MA students from BIMM University were in attendance and for many, it was their first large-scale professional event. This event is a key component of this semester’s Creative Industries module, the foundation of the core course that students follow from the first day of their studies to the end.
In the weeks leading up to the conference, students took part in workshops exploring the skills needed to navigate major industry environments. Sessions covered communication, networking, professional confidence, and even strategies for handling social anxiety in creative business settings. They also researched speakers, identified potential career-aligned contacts, and prepared personal networking plans.
At the event, each student was set a simple but significant mission: connect with at least one industry professional and follow up afterwards. This personal engagement will now form part of their assessed portfolio later in the semester.
The approach reflects BIMM Berlin’s commitment to aligning core teaching with genuine industry practice, something students had specifically asked for in recent Student Representative Forum feedback.
Across the two days, students could be seen immersed in panel talks, networking sessions, and activities, putting their preparation into action and taking their first steps into the broader creative community.
Most Wanted: Music 2025 offered an energising introduction to Berlin’s music scene and a meaningful starting point for students’ professional journeys.
