BIMM Bristol artist Pilton recently released a brand new remix for ‘Lost Kings’ latest single ‘Don’t Kill My High’ featuring Wiz Kalifa and Social House.
The remix is the follow-up to the BA2 Music Production student’s own debut single ‘Don’t‘ which has amassed over 1,000,000 streams globally since its release in late 2018. The release also marks the 19 year old’s second for Sony, having previously produced a rework of XYLØ’s track ‘I Don’t Want To See Anymore’.
“The remix came about with my connection to the manager of ‘Lost Kings’ who also manages ‘The Chainsmokers'” said Pilton. “I heard the original and immediately checked in with him to see if I could give it a shot and luckily it all paid off!
Working with the vocals from ‘Wiz Khalifa’, was a pretty surreal experience and adding my own vibe and emotion to his vocal was so sick; he adds something unique to the track. With regards to ‘Social House’, who have written for ‘Ariana Grande’, their main hooks in the track were incredible and being able to manipulate and add the ‘Pilton’ touch to them was also something I wouldn’t have thought I’d be able to do a year ago!
I Wanted to add my own future bass/pop touch to bring the emotional side of the track out and was so stoked that the ‘Lost Kings’ boys digged it!”
With the official stamp of approval from the original purveyors of the track, Pilton’s profile has been significantly boosted once again. We’re certain the news foreshadows more great things to come for Pilton this year. Be sure to keep any on his social media streams for more remixes and original tracks.
