BIMM London has partnered with the world’s leading online, direct-to-fan music platform PledgeMusic to offer a new scholarship to students.
The scholarship, due to be introduced this autumn, is for a place on the BA Hons Music Business course, starting 29th September 2014 with a value of £17,850.00 over three years (tuition fees only).
Based at BIMM London the scholarship reflects the mutual dedication of BIMM London and Pledge Music towards the development of music business skills and experience by offering support, resources, study and work experience opportunities to an aspiring music business entrepreneur who would not normally have access to them.
PledgeMusic is the world’s leading online, direct-to-fan music platform, offering artists and rights owners a unique way to engage with their fans in the music making experience whilst interacting with PledgeMusic’s global community. Since its inception in 2009, PledgeMusic has worked with artists and labels to deliver high impact campaigns that provide exclusive engagement, incentives and content for music fans as well as new commercial benefits and revenue streams for artists and music labels.
PledgeMusic’s platform has generated many successful albums worldwide. Campaigns run through PledgeMusic have included releases by The Klaxons, The Libertines, Killing Joke, LCD Soundsystem, Slash, Lissie and Ginger Wildheart. Ben Folds Five had their first Billboard Top 10 through Pledge and the recent Bring Me The Horizon release ‘Sempiternal’ went to #3 in the UK (and #1 in Australia) in a collaboration between PledgeMusic and RCA/Sony. Recently launched projects include Rufus Wainwright, Echo & The Bunnymen, Stiff Little Fingers and The Buzzcocks.
