Third-year Music Production student makes waves in the global techno scene
Sahil Bhandula (Sahil3nce), a music production student about to enter his third year at BIMM University Berlin, has had their track ‘Died Again’ played at major venues and festivals in LA, the Netherlands and Berlin.
The track, which draws elements from industrial and hard techno, was produced in collaboration with Ramkka. The track was premiered by Don Woezik at a warehouse project party organised by the infamous 6AM Group in LA, California and has also seen support from Stan Christ at Verknipt Netherlands and Raven at Anomalie Art Club in Berlin.
We just had to catch up with Sahil to hear all about it!
Tell us a little bit about the track.
It’s a hybrid genre of industrial and hard techno with pounding stomper kicks and crazy distorted synths with extravagant texture noise for massive festivals and proper techno raves.
This collaboration with Ramkka is very special to me. With him I got to experience the process of expressing and celebrating life, death and the afterlife. And this was done through producing the track and directing the music video.
How has the reaction been to the track?
I’ve had amazing support! Having it played by well-known names like Stan Christ (Verknipt Netherlands Festival and Thuisheaven Festival in Amsterdam), Don Woezik (6AM, Los Angeles California) and Raven (Exhale, Anomalie Art Club, Berlin) has been a huge honour.
Thanks to Don Woezik premiering the track in LA to a massive gathering of listeners, so many doors in the global techno scene have opened for me. It’s truly incredible.
What’s next for you?
More releases, podcast appearances and playing shows in Berlin! I’ll also be featuring on various compilations and I’m currently working on an EP. I’ve got a busy year ahead of me but I can’t wait to get all this content out there. Stay tuned!
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer our questions Sahil!
We can’t wait to see where Sahil’s career takes him. If one things for certain, it looks like he has a bright one ahead.
