Finnish-born Sini is a highly qualified and experienced academic, lecturer and educator. She has a First Class BMus (Hons) and Master of Arts from Kingston University, as well as a PhD in Music from City University London.
She is the Head of Academic Studies and course leader of MA Popular Music Practice at BIMM London. Her research interests include 1960s popular music, popular music and gender, popular music and class and person-centered approaches to learning and teaching.
Her AHRC-funded PhD thesis (City University London, 2014) investigated female musicians’ contribution to popular music in England between the years of 1962 and 1971.
